It’s well known that San Antonio, TX is home to the all famous Alamo Mission.  The Alamo plaza is located central to the main city area and is always buzzing with tourists who want to pay their respects and immerse themselves in history of the great Lone Star State.  What some may overlook is the bounty of historical information and culture located in the San Antonio Missions Historical Park.

You have no idea how surprised I was when my research of Las Vegas for family friendly activities  revealed a highly rated children’s museum!  We were there last year for a little less than a week and I wanted to pack in as many activities as possible with my girls during that time.  Children’s museums are always a hit with our kids so I was sure we’d have a good time.

San Antonio, Texas is a fantastic city to visit as a family.  Besides the epic historical sites, beautiful Riverwalk area and fun amusement parks, there is a one of a kind experience waiting for you at the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch.

We sailed the Norwegian Escape a while ago because A) we are cruise lovers who found a great off season deal and B) it was the newest ship on the market at the time and we wanted to experience all the bells and whistles for ourselves.  This cruise was a girls cruise (my best buddy and my two daughters sailed with me) and fortunately we are all foodies!  We had Food Republic high on our list of places we wanted to eat during our cruise on the Escape.  Food Republic was all over the NCL website and promotional videos we’d seen.  It was also featured in a lot of Youtube videos by other cruisers.  This was clearly the place to eat if you were headed onto the Escape and we wanted to see for ourselves.  Well, the restaurant totally lived up to the hype.

One of our favorite places to travel to as a family is Riviera Maya, Mexico.  It’s is an easy 2 hour flight from central Florida and provides a host of activities for all of us to enjoy.   Aside from the gorgeous beaches you can find Mayan ruins, cenotes (underground swimming holes), shopping, and more…  On our last visit to the region we decided to stop at the Crococun Zoo, an interactive animal experience we had heard a lot about.
