We love cruising. As a family of four we’ve been on more than four cruises together and prior to the kids arrival I had cruised a handful of times already. The cruise industry is expanding and more and more people are considering taking a cruise vacation in the coming year. Many people who haven’t cruised before will surely have a lot of questions as they start planning. Here are a few tips we’ve learned along the way that will help to make sure your first cruise is enjoyable from start to finish.

Discovering the New Lion Guard Adventure at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom offers an unique Disney experience with several activities for the entire family to enjoy. One of their new additions is the Lion Guard Adventure based on the new Disney Junior show. This activity is a scavenger hunt of sorts that can keep your kids occupied and involved as your family traverses the entire park.

Ohana Family Brunch at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is one of the the Deluxe Resorts at Walt Disney World. We snagged reservations at one of their premier restaurants, Ohana, which serves a family style brunch featuring character appearances and a fun parade during the meal with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto!

Discovering the Incredible Orlando Science Center

We absolutely love the Orlando Science Center. It is located downtown in a central location and easy to get to from many parts of the Orlando area. We discovered it prior to our official move to Florida; we used to visit Orlando for a few weeks in the winter each year after our girls were born and we fell in love with the center/children’s museum that offered both learning adventures and play fun for kids.

Visiting Green Meadows Petting Farm in Kissimmee

I’ve truly enjoyed discovering central Florida over the last two and half years; we relocated here from Maryland two summers ago. Everyone knows Florida for the amusement parks here in Orlando but many people may not know a lot about the other family friendly activities in the the surrounding area.
